Getting Around Downtown Salmon Arm:

Parking

Salmon Arm parkingThroughout Downtown Salmon Arm there are a number of parking alternatives. For short stops, the one hour free on street parking makes it easy to get your errands done. For longer downtown excursions, you can park free for 2 hours at the Ross Street Parking lot or at the parking lot adjacent to the Salmar Grand Theatre on Hudson Ave. If more time is required, be sure to make use of the multi hour metered parking offered at the Inner Core parking lot (access off Shuswap Street) or with a short walk, you can make use of the meters located at the west end of Hudson Ave near McGuire Lake. For 25c/hr you can afford to spend the whole day enjoying all that Downtown Salmon Arm has to offer.

Transit

Regular bus service runs throughout Downtown Salmon Arm. With three convenient bus stops you can make your trip to downtown a little greener.

The City of Salmon Arm and the Shuswap Regional Transit System are offering free transit to youth, under the age of 18, from July 1 to September 30. This free pass system allows and encourages youth to get out, explore and experience our community.

Bicycles

To help support healthier transportation alternatives, Downtown Salmon Arm has positioned a number of study bike racks which will allow you to securely leave your bike while you are off enjoying. Bike rack locations can vary seasonally, however most racks are located centrally on Ross, Alexander, and Shuswap Streets, Lakeshore Drive, Marine and Fletcher Parks and at McGuire Lake.
