Every year Salmon Arm is bustling with a variety of activities and events. The list of events and the planned dates is ever changing and increasing. Please check back often for new updates on listed event and to learn more about newly announced events:
Winter:
CPR Holiday Train – Downtown Salmon Arm comes alive with holiday spirit when the CP Holiday Train rolls in to town. From the festive decorations to the jolly Santa and on to the musical performances... this is a must see, much loved community event.
Reino Keski-Salmi Loppet – With the help of over 300 community volunteers, this annual first class loppet welcome both competitive and recreational skiers.
Spring:
Salty Dog Enduro – This challenging 6-hour enduro offers participants the opportunity to ride solo or in a team of 2, for 6 hours and experience an awesome race course in a beautiful setting. The Salty pup is a great introduction for children to the great sporting event.
Kids Fishing Derby – This Father’s Day tradition is hosted annually at the Salmon Arm Wharf.
Summer:
Wednesday on the Wharf – This much loved community event is a summer favourite. Each Wednesday evening at 6:45 local, regional, or provincial talent takes the stage to wow the crowd. This event kicks off in mid June and runs throughout the summer, weather permitting, until the end of August. Marine Park by the Salmon Arm Wharf
Lunch Box Stage – Be sure to check out local music of entertainers who take to the stake each Tuesday and Friday at the Ross Street Stage from around 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. Stop by any one of Downtown Salmon Arm’s eateries and get lunch to go...
Twilight Market – Each Wednesday night from mid June through to the end of August, open air market offers a sampling of Salmon Arm’s locally produced veggies, fruit, tasty treats, arts, crafts and so much more. Be sure to join us Wednesdays near the Wharf (CSRD parking lot) at 5:30 to check out this local farmer’s market.
Children’s’ Festival – This Salmon Arm annual celebration draws children from near and far. Hosted on Canada, this fun family event is a great way to spend the day!
Dinner Theatre - Every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday through July and August R.J. Haney Heritage Village offers a dinner and play depicting the life and times of a historical character. A great evening of entertainment and enjoyment
Farmer’s Market - May to October, be sure to check out the twice weekly farmer’s Market hosted at the Picadilly Mall from8:30-12:00.
Dragon Boat Festival - This annual Dragon Boat Festival is a gathering of paddling teams, which provides an atmosphere of camaraderie and a positive spirit of competition. The unmistakable drum beating and fast paced action is a real crowd pleaser. Be sure to come down to the wharf to check this great event.
Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival - The Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival is held at the Salmon Arm Fair Grounds–with Mount Ida and the Fly Hills providing a scenic background. Each year the festival offers performances on six daytime stages and 2 evening stages. This highly regarded festival is a must see, must do event while in the Shuswap.
Fall:
Salmon Arm Fall Fair Established in 1897, the Salmon Arm Fall Fair is one of the longest running traditional country fall fairs. With an array of displays, competitions, demonstrations, entertainment, fair foods and of course midway rides and a parade, the Salmon Arm Fall Fair is a wonderful family event.
Halloween Spooktacular
Two nights of spook trails, the scary maze, fortune teller, spook stories, story land trail and displays is sure to delight the kids and send the parents running. This popular event has been a crowd pleaser for years and always brings something new. RJ Haney Village and Museum
Downtown Salmon Arm Halloween Treat Trail – A true Downtown Salmon Arm tradition sees throngs of children dressed in their finest Halloween costumes taking to downtown streets. This fun-filled family event is a must for anyone with youngsters.
Year-round Events
