Salmon Arm – a safe, vibrant town centre community rich in architectural and natural beauty, cultural diversity, and economic prosperity.

Purpose
We provide leadership to promote and market our town centre, plan and assist with business development, beautification and property enhancement initiatives; all in partnership with property owners, retailers, professionals, government and community groups to ensure a vibrant, prosperous and safe downtown community.

About the DIA

Registered in 1988, the Salmon Arm Downtown Improvement Association was the first Business Improvement Area in British Columbia. Incorporated as society in 1974, the DIA has served downtown business and property owners by coordinating special events, beautification and revitalization projects for over 29 years.

The DIA is governed by an elected Board of Directors consisting of devoted business people, organizational leaders and City of Salmon Arm representatives.
